Living Christ, Teacher Jesus,

we open our hearts and minds to You.

We live amid so many loud voices

proclaiming righteous authority and unquestionable truths.

We duck to avoid the slings and arrows of uncivil wars

seeking the safety of The Kingdom You proclaim.

Friend Jesus, Healing Christ,

grant us, this morning, both refuge and guidance.

Speak to us of God’s noble realm.

Show us Your way toward true wisdom.
